Jill's Round Robin Band by Band

Jill's top -- updated picture coming soon!

The pansies are from a monogram design, with Band 2 from Rae's Blackwork Band Sampler in between. Above and below are two rows of diagonal banded upright cross.

Heather's 1st band

Row 1 of 4
Band 6? From "The Embroideress", drawn thread surrounded by Scallop stitch (SS done in 3042 DMC floss, drawn thread in #12 perle cotton).
Row 2 of 4
Modified pansies...I modified these from the "acorns" row in "Autumn Jewels". I changed the colors, changed the shape of the "acorn" so it looked like a pansy, and added the bead "centers". The leaves are Weeks, the pansies are Splendor (gold) and Soie Cristale (purple). The beads were irridescent purple/gold.
Row 3 of 4
The butterfly/whipped spider flower motif is from "Miss Alexandra's Chatelaine", and is stitched in Weeks (wings, petals, body) and Splendor (flower center). The star filling stitch is from "Bumble the Bee Beeswax Keeper" and is stitched with #12 perle cotton.
Row 4 of 4
Stacked herringbone (count/configuration from "The Embroideress") stitched with Wildflowers and DMC.

Row 1 of 3
Rae's Peacock Fancy Sampler - the row is inspired by Band 14 - the Peacock Garden. The vines and leaves were stitched over 2 using Weeks Dye Works - Juniper and in the center of the leaves (which looked more like flowers) I added a pearlized bead. The Norwich blossoms were stitched used Wildflowers - Amethyst.
Row 2 of 3
Rae's Spring Jewels Sampler - the stitch is a Butterfly Stitch/Modified Coral Knot from (Band 4) - stitched in stitched in the silk that I added to the stash and then tied I believe with Anchor dark purple the color number escapes me though.
Row 3 of 3
A series of 1 over 1 purple Anchor floss crosses with a fleck of Splendor for the yellow centers. Then I stitched a modified Long arm Cross to allow the long arms to be the stems of the flowers. This was also stitched in Anchor floss. This row was inspired by me so now I can allow you to copy as you like.

Area 1
Pulled Wave Stitch, from Rae's "Silk Pulled Thread Stitchery" stitched with pearl cotton #12, DMC #304.
Area 2
Top and bottom rows on right and left sides - Pulled Three Sided stitch from Rae's "Victorian Bag", using pearl cotton #12, DMC #304. Between those rows are alternating Algerian Eyes and Four Corner Herringbone stitches. You can take your pick of a few pieces that Rae used Algerian Eyes on, I stitched mine in Anchor 110. The Four Corner Herringbone is from Rae's Millennium Garden Gate, I stitched them with Anchor 110 on the bottom and Anchor 108 on top. The middle section of this area is the Heart and vine motif from Rae's "Summer Garden Gate". The heart/vine was stitched with Splendor #985, the leaves with Anchor 862, and the Lace Wheel Flowers with Weeks Dye Works "Peoria Purple".
Area 3
Pulled Ring, from Rae's "Silk Pulled Thread Stitchery", again in pearl cotton #12, DMC #304.
Area 4
I decided to use a stitch from one of Rae's newest pieces, "The Maiden and the Nightingales: Embroidery in the Ukrainian Tradition" for my signature line. I stitched the Ukrainian Braid in Anchor 110.

Row 4 of 4
Victoria and Albert Herringbone (you can say it's from "Millennium Garden Gate"), stitched in Wildflowers Amethyst.

Judy's 2nd band

This section was stitched as I wanted to have a small drawn thread area and look of satin stitching as well.

Row 2 and 4

This was inspired from the "Welsh Cottage Etui"
Row 8
The center of the row has an Assisi Heart motif from the Needlebook within this pattern, this appears on the bench in the original pattern - this was stitched using Weeks Dye Works - Merlin.
